Sounds simple but there are a number of "IT gurus" out there that only understand the technical side of the problem, and never take a moment to understand the bigger picture. Quite often I can recommend a better and faster solution to a problem that nobody else has thought of; simply because I make sure I understand your business and how you USE the technology before making recommendations.
Technology can be incredibly expensive. Left unchecked, you could spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for the "latest and greatest" technology that will only be obsolete 1 year later. As a small business owner myself, I understand that you don't have a pile of cash lying around to blow on "cool" new gadgets and software. That's why I'll always recommend several different solutions you can chose from, outline the pros and cons, and give you practical solutions that don’t cost an arm and a leg.
